Founded in 1903 to fight tuberculosis, the American Lung Association today fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health. 1. Text the word QUIT to 47848 from your mobile phone, answer a few questions, and you'll start receiving messages. 


2.Visit smokefree.gov/smokefreetxt/Signup.aspx to sign up and answer a few questions, and you'll start receiving text messages.
